Due to legal restrictions, certain materials cannot be disposed of using a skip. These materials include Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (such as fridges, freezers, microwaves, hairdryers, radios, TVs, computers, kettles, and toasters), gas bottles, chemicals, solvents, batteries, clinical waste (such as syringes, soiled dressings, and medicine bottles), liquids (such as oil, petrol, or diesel), plasterboard, tyres, solvents, animals, carcasses and by-products, explosives, belts, mattresses, upholstered goods, paint tins, hazardous toxic waste, and asbestos, fluorescent tubes/light bulbs, hot loads, smoking, smouldering or hot ash, batteries (any), tree stumps over 2FT.

The following items incur extra charges for waste disposal: fridges and freezers, tyres, batteries, televisions and monitors, and electrical equipment.

Quick Waste Ltd. is a fully licensed waste management company that operates as a waste carrier, broker and manager, authorised by the Environment Agency. Our vehicles are licensed and insured by the Department of Transport, and our drivers are licensed to operate heavy goods vehicles. They are highly experienced in handling and transporting skips, as well as loading and unloading them.

Your skip hire cost is determined by the size of the skip, contents, location, and local council requirements for permits.

We can assist you in determining the appropriate size and type of skip you need. Additionally, we can advise you on whether you require a permit from your local council. Once you are ready, we will deliver your skip. After you’ve filled it or no longer require it, simply notify us and we’ll collect it. The contents of the skip will then be reused, recycled or recovered. If you need to place your skip on the road, we can arrange a permit with your local council. Our standard hire period is three weeks, but if you finish with the skip any sooner, contact us, and we will book it in ASAP. You can also extend the hire period at an additional cost.

In the waste sector we strive to achieve and maintain a zero to landfill policy. The waste is segregated into seperate waste streams and recycled accordingly.

The skip should be filled at the sides’ height and level-loaded so we can safely transport the skip to our facilities.

If you want to place a skip on a public road, you must obtain a skip permit from your local council. It is against the law to put a skip on a public road without a permit.

Some councils require you to apply for a permit directly while others require your skip hire provider to apply on your behalf.

Quick Waste Ltd. offers a skip permit service for £55 plus VAT. This permit will allow you to place a skip on public land, such as a road or pavement, and is a legal requirement enforced by the local council.

We aim to deliver the same day if orders are received before 12pm. If after this time then we are always next day for deliveries.

Yes we currently accept builders and garden waste, making our waste skips perfect for extensions, loft conversions and general house renovations.
